Our Installation Process

Our installation process involves a thorough insulation assessment, careful preparation, and expert installation of blown insulation into wall your wall cavities.

1. Preparing Your Walls

We start the installation process by drilling small holes in your walls through which we blow blown insulation. Don’t worry, these holes are easily patched and repaired once the installation is complete.

2. Blowing Insulation

Once the walls are prepared, we use specialised equipment to blow insulation into your wall cavity. We install it to such a high density that it’s never going to slump or shrink inside your walls.

3. Finishing Touches

Once all your walls have had insulation installed, we go through a repair process to ensure your house is weathertight. The installer will patch any holes in the wall and sand it down ready for a fresh coat of paint.

How does CosyWall Insulation work?

The simplest way to describe how CosyWall insulation works is by using the example of a chilly bin effect.

Typically in a home, you have a lid (the roof insulation). and a base (the floor insulation) and all your homes heat passes out through the walls. CosyWall insulation completes your home’s thermal envelope by adding a barrier to the walls of your home, allowing your home to retain its heat.

How easy is CosyWall to install?

CosyWall Insulation is very easy to install into the homes. If you install a segment product, you usually have to remove all the linings of your home to install it. This can be a costly process and take a long amount of time to install.

With CosyWall the installation is very simple. It’s blown into your walls through small holes from either the interior or exterior of your home depending on your preference. When we’re done we seal up all the holes and once we’re finished you’ll never know we were there.

What is an R-value rating?

We often get asked about R-values in CosyWall. An R-value is simply a measure of a thermal resistance of an insulation product. The higher the number the better it will retain heat inside your house.

CosyWall Insulation has the highest R-value that’s obtainable in this type of product and is equivalent to the top batts and blown insulation products available in New Zealand.
